Shipe Park is located along the banks of Waller Creek and is sited across a wildflower meadow from the historic Elizabet Ney Museum.
Shipe Park was opened after the city’s 1928 plan called for a new parks system, and it remains a centerpiece of the historic Hyde Park neighborhood. The bathhouse is a component of a $3.1 million swimming pool replacement project.
