This project provides a curbside barrier system to improve terminal security, while also enhancing the airport arrival and departure experience.
The solution deploys strategically-placed rows of stainless steel elements whose elegant, aerodynamic shape reinforces the ABIA brand as a significant hub for global air travel. Their smooth, compact form streamlines pedestrian passage for as many as 1 million users per month. The solution arrays over 80 of these elements along with 40 custom-designed, concrete benches.
The architects worked closely with ABIA technical staff and TSA security guidelines to design structural armatures discretely hidden within the decorative elements.
